airberlin is introducing new check-in deadlines which become effective August 1st 2017. The check-in for short- and medium haul flights will be open until 45 minutes prior to departure instead of 30 minutes before take off. Check-in for long haul flights and flights departing to and from North Africa as well as Tel Aviv will be open until 60 minutes prior to departure. Up until now check-in for long haul flights closed 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Passengers are kindly asked to ensure that they arrive at check-in time and are in possession of a valid boarding pass by the acceptance deadline of their flight.
If passengers check in online or via the mobile app, they have to check in their baggage before the published check-in deadline.
