At the first joint job exchange between airberlin and the Berlin Nord Employment Agency on Tuesday, more than 500 open positions at companies in Berlin and Brandenburg were offered to airberlin employees. Several hundred airberlin employees took advantage of the opportunity to find out more about job vacancies and establish ties with companies. Thirteen companies from the region, including BASF, Deutsche Bahn, Toll-Collect and Zalando, were looking for new employees. The job offers ranged from administrative positions, through technical professions to vacancies for flight attendants and pilots. The jobs fair took place at airberlin’s head office in Berlin. Thomas Winkelmann, airberlin CEO: “We would like to thank the Federal Employment Agency for their initiative to hold a jobs fair for airberlin employees. Our employees will find a wide variety of job offers here. It is a good sign that so many employers are interested in our employees.” Christoph Möller, Director of the Berlin Nord Employment Agency, visited the fair and shared his impression of the event: “We are happy that the jobs fair has been so well received by airberlin’s employees as well as the companies in the region. Today’s event is only the first step. We will continue to offer similar fairs in the future and assist the affected employees with their reorientation and integration.”
